“What’s the job? / Can you tell me more”
Great, so it’s entry level sales and customer service. Basically what someone would get paid to do is talk with customers (in person or over Zoom), presenting products, answering questions, and helping them place orders. Pretty simple stuff, and it's a great resumé builder. Did you want me to send you a link so you can get more info and apply?
“Where are you guys located?”
We have over 300 offices nationwide. However, our division headquarters is located in Fairfield, NJ. All of our team members have the option to interview, train, and work remotely (from home or dorm). Did you want me to send you a link so you can get more info and apply?
What are the hours?
The hours are super flexible and easy to work around other obligations. We work with a lot of students around their classes, so the schedule really depends on the applicant’s schedule. Did you want me to send you a link so that you or your friends can apply?
“What’s the name/product?”
The company is Vector which is the marketing and sales branch for Cutco. We are the local New Jersey branch. We have been around since 1949. It's a bunch of stuff for the kitchen like pots and pans, flatware and kitchen knives. The majority of our customers are moms, dads, and families lol. They love the stuff. We are looking to fill several entry level sales/customer service positions. It is a great opportunity for students to build their resume with real world experience. Did you want me to send you a link so that you or your friends can apply?
What is the pay?
Great question. The starting pay is $24.50 base-appt with the opportunity to earn more based on performance (basically rewarding work ethic). We cover the full details of pay during the interview process though. We cover the full details of pay during the interview process though. Did you want me to send you a link so that you or your friends can apply?
“What’s the scholarship/internship”
The scholarship is based on performance with the company. The internships obviously vary college to college, but our training is college accredited and we have partnerships with most schools. My manager told me more about it in the interview! Did you want me to send you a link so that you or your friends can apply?
Is this a scam/pyramid scheme/MLM (if they continue to argue, DON'T respond. Your energy is worth more than that)
USA Today wouldn't award us as the #12 best company to work for in the United States if that were the case. I wouldn't waste your time. There are no start-up costs, recruiting plays no part of our pay-program, and we have a guaranteed pay regardless of sales. In the interview we literally go through the position in full detail and you would be able to get a really good gauge for if it is a good fit for you. The worst case is you spend 30 minutes, find out more about an opportunity and get some interview experience. Don’t let negative untrue things you hear prevent you from learning the right information in the interview.
“I already have a job.”
That’s cool. The schedules are really flexible and we have a lot of people that work around other jobs. Here’s the link to the application. Check it out if you need more hours at any point this year. www.StudentWorkJersey.com

“I’ll let my friends know” (but they don’t show interest in applying)
Thank you!! Btw what do you have planned for this semester? Idk if you’re a student but all of our students have a chance at different scholarships as well as internship experience to put on their resume.

"How do we know each other?"
FACEBOOK: To be honest, I'm not totally sure! You were in my suggested friends list and you seemed super familiar :)
INSTAGRAM: No prob! I just checked out a few of the senior accounts in the area and saw you were following them. I thought it'd be a great way to get the word out. Are you looking for work currently?
